Signet Ring Restoration
Customer's beloved signet ring passed down three generations. Originally engraved approximately 65 years ago and worn daily. The engraving was barely visible to the the naked eye. I was asked to restore the original monogram. I was able to pick up most of the heavy shade strokes of the lettering under magnification. The engraving also had some fairly heavy visible cross lines shading. I used a red Sharpie pen to color the original monogram. It helped me to see the the original lines better and my newly sketched scribe lines. Progression pictures start to finish. I'm certain that the engraving is very close to how it was engraved 65 years ago by the original engraver. COMMISSIONED
